Abstract We develop a new method of fabricating color filtersbased on selective wettability patterning bymicromolding in capillaries. The hydrophobic polymerpatterns formed in the capillaries provide selectivegeneration and protection of color filter patterns througha simple coating process. It was found that color filtersfabricated using our method show well-defined patternswith color uniformity.
